'EROS & PSYCHE', MAQUETTE STUDY.

 

'Eros & Psyche', Maquette Study.

11 inches tall.

Maquette study, to be enlarged at a later date. The wings have been made large, and canopy-like. More visual elements will be added to the sea foam, indicative of an ecosystem. (Aphrodite, having been born from sea foam in Greek mythology.) The crashing waves, windswept, are characteristic elements from the Hellenistic Period. The infant Hedone will perhaps also be added in both their arms together, becoming the focal point.
